Job Title:- Junior Research Fellow
Overview:
Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)-funded research project titled: "Exploring Diversity and Functional Dynamics of Microbial Communities Inhabiting Sulfur Spring at Sahastradhara, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.” [PI: Dr. Nirjara Singhvi, Assistant Professor, DBUU
The selected candidate will be involved in field sampling, microbial isolation, culturing, and molecular characterization of microbial communities.

Age: (*Age Limit- 26 years)
Qualifications Required:
- M.Sc. in Microbiology, Zoology, or Biotechnology from a recognized university with a strong academic background.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience in microbiological techniques, including microbial handling and culturing.
- Experience in molecular techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, etc.) will be an added advantage.
- Fieldwork experience related to environmental or microbial research is desirable.
- Candidates with a valid NET/GATE qualification will be given preference.
Position Details:
- Location: Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU), Dehradun
- The salary will be provided as per Government of India norms.
- Project Duration: 3 Years
The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project. Additionally, the service of JRF will be liable to termination at any time without any notice and without assigning any reason.

Job Title:- Project Fellow
Overview:
Applications are invited for the position of Project Fellow in a UCOST-sponsored project entitled “Artificial Neural Network Model in Prediction of Meteorological Parameters in North Western Indian Himalayan Region: A Case Study of Uttarakhand”. The position is available for a period of one year, with emoluments of Rs. 12,000 per month.
Qualifications Required:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science / M.Sc in Physics or related fields.
- Prior knowledge in remote sensing and data analysis using programming languages such as R and Python is essential. Candidates should not be more than 28 years of age on the closing date of the advertisement.
Age Relaxation: Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Differently-abled categories.
Other Details:
- The initial appointment will be for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance until the completion of the project.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
